Border Group acquires Teesdale Event Site Services Limited
Carlisle-based business Border Group is delighted to announce its acquisition of Teesdale Event Site Services Limited (trading as TESS). Operating out of Barnard Castle, TESS provides toilet and shower hire services for the construction and event services sectors, which complements Border Group’s own BorderLoos portfolio, giving the company a substantial and well-known presence in the North East. As a result, Border Group will be able to offer these hire facilities across the north of England, strengthening the company’s Construction, Welfare & Events division.
Henry Lloyd, Border Group’s Director, commented, “This acquisition is particularly exciting for Border Group as it significantly expands the geographical area we can cover from West Cumbria across to Tyneside. It has been just over a year since Border Group was acquired by machinery dealer Lloyd Ltd, and we feel this is the ideal opportunity to continue to grow the business after a successful first year of operations.”
TESS owners Sarah and Gareth Hinchliffe also commented, “We have been running the business since 1999 and are incredibly proud of the way it has grown with such a loyal customer base. Given the challenges of recent years, we decided now was the right time for us to focus on our other activities and in Border Group we have found the ideal partner to continue to develop the business. We will be working closely with Henry and the Border Group team for a while to ensure a seamless transition.
